MAR Systems,
LLC specializes in the development and supply of innovative
technologies, adsorbent-based products, and systems that remove
contaminants from water and industrial waste streams. Our scientifically
proven technology for the removal of arsenic, mercury, selenium and
other contaminants from water and industrial waste streams is adaptable
to any size project.
At MAR Systems, our technology and product development is customer
driven. MAR combines its direct access to the hydrocarbon recycling
industry and its established business intelligence network to help
industrial waste generators and by-product consumers develop enhancing,
cooperative relationships to lower waste, reduce costs and make a
social impact.
The company has extensive experience in recycling of non-hazardous
materials and the removal of metal contaminants from water and
industrial waste streams. Arsenic removal from drinking water is one of
the company’s core competencies and the use of recycled materials is a
distinguishing competitive advantage.
The MAR Process
Industrial contaminants such as heavy metals, D-block metals, arsenic,
and mercury, pose significant health-related risks to the public.
Exposure to high levels of arsenic is linked to extremely serious health
problems, including cancer, anemia, blindness, gastro-intestinal
problems, nerve damage and circulatory related concerns. Worldwide, over
100 million people are at risk, with over 13 million in the United
States alone.

Activated alumina
is the preferred media for arsenic removal from water. And as a leader
in the field of recycling media, MAR has developed a new, improved grade
of activated alumina that offers an adsorptive capacity superior to
standard activated alumina and other commercially available arsenic
removal media.
Additionally, the technology is effective in the removal of metal from
gas streams including coal fired electrical generators and industrial
incinerators. The technology also reduces the emissions of mercury into
the environment, a major contributor to contamination of fresh water
fish. The MAR process is also efficient in applications for removal of
selenium and other metals, including uranium, in a variety of fluids.
The need for this technology is rapidly growing worldwide. Governments
in all sectors of the world are mandating that industry develop
cost-effective and sustainable solutions to remove arsenic from drinking
water and reduce its introduction into the water table from service
water run-off. The repurposing of recycled industrial waste like
activated alumina makes the MAR process cost-effective as well as
ecologically efficient. The resultant simplicity and low cost of the MAR
Systems process will find extensive use in developing countries which
have historically had severe problems with arsenic contaminated drinking
water and have limited technical expertise and infrastructure.»more about us... |
